The Short Answer

For the shortest possible night, stay at the Miami International Airport Hotel, inside the terminal at Concourse E. You walk from your room to check-in, the rooms are soundproofed, and day rooms are available. It has no pool or gym.

If you want a pool or more space, pick a free-shuttle hotel: the Hilton Miami Airport Blue Lagoon for a full-service stay, Embassy Suites or the Residence Inn with kids, or the Fairfield Inn & Suites on a budget. Hotel shuttles pick up on the arrivals level. If you have an evening free, Coral Gables is 15–25 minutes away and far nicer for dinner.
